  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of nutmeg

  • Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chopped walnuts, caramel sauce

Halve pears lengthwise and scoop out the core with a spoon or melon baller. Leave stems on for presentation if desired.

Place pears cut-side down. Grill 4–6 minutes until grill marks appear and sugars begin to caramelize. Flip and brush with more glaze.

Extra Tips for Perfect Grilled Pears

  • Use firm-ripe pears: too soft will collapse, too firm will be chalky.

  • Brush pears with oil if using less sugary glazes to prevent sticking.

  • Cook over medium heat, not high—sugars burn easily.

  • To enhance flavor, add a splash of bourbon, Grand Marnier, or spiced rum to any glaze.

  • Pears pair well with: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, vanilla, caramel, thyme, rosemary, goat cheese.
